The roots of the onion bulb in the second jar will stop growing because if we cut the tips we even cut apical meristem along with it which is responsible for growth.

Apical meristem is situated in tips only and are responsible for growth of roots and if we cut the root tips , root will not grow. That's why roots of onion bulb in the second jar stop growing after 4 days. I hope you have got your answer. If yes, please like. Thankyou Salman
