We have,y = exa cos x + b sin x   .......1differentiating 1 w.r.t  x, we get    y' = ex-a sin x + b cos x +a cos x + b sin x ex⇒y' = ex-a sin x + b cos x + y   .........2differentiating 2 w.r.t. x, we get    y'' = ex-a cos x - b sin x + -a sin x + b cos x ex + y'⇒y'' = -exa cos x + b sin x + -a sin x + b cos x ex + y'⇒y'' = -y + y' - y + y'   using 1 and 2⇒y'' = 2y' - 2y⇒y'' - 2y' + 2y = 0This is the required differential equation.
