Q. In the given figure, a total of  9 regions (as coloured in 9 different colours) are formed by 5 circles. Three such regions represented by numbers 12, 6 and 15. Use any other numbers only once for the rest of the regions, so that the sum of numbers in each circle is 20.

Left sides triangle can have other number 8 to get 20 and also right side triangle has to be 5 to get 20. 


So here let other numbers are a,b,c,dso 8+a+b= 20 a+b= 12...1b+c+6 =20 b+c = 14....2c+d+5 = 20 c+d = 15....3and keeping in mind that a number must be used once Taking a = 1 so from equation 1 , b= 11so from equation 2 , c = 3 and from equation 3 , d = 12 but 12 has alreadybeen used so Take a = 2 , so b = 12-2 = 10 so c = 14-10 = 4 so d = 15-4 = 11hence a = 2, b = 10, c = 4 , d= 11 are the other numbers
