Biosynthetic phase of recombinant DNA technology means synthetic phase that involves application of recombinant DNA technology in production of medicines, human insulin, gene therapy, human growth hormone, vaccines etc. It inhibits the secretion of growth hormone (somatotropin) from the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland. It also suppresses the release of other hormones from the pancreas and digestive tract.
