Dear student,

An important evidence in favour of organic evolution is the occurrence of homologous and vestigial organs (Option 4).
This is because they show divergent evolution. In other words, how same ancestor gave rise to varied life forms and thereby provides favourable evidence for organic evolution which supports origin of life from single common ancestor.
Homologous organs have same origin but different functions.
Vestigial organs are those that are present but are presently of no use.
Analogous organs are quite different in fundamental structure and embryonic origin but perform the same function. The study of analogous organs illustrates the occurrence of convergent evolution.
