According to the Darwin's theory species changed over the time and give rise to new forms. The organisms compete for the limited resources and species with characters for the better survival are selected. This phenomenon is referred as Natural selection. The species that are unable to compete and cope up with the environment get extinct, and species which have favorable characters are selected and evolved to give rise to new forms. Darwin believed that variations will ultimately leads to the formation of new species.
