please explain in detail with proper explanation

Dear Student , Rhizoids do not form in the diploid phase of the life cycle , which is unicellular and consists only of a zygote that undergoes meiosis, so their ploidy is haploid. Rhizoids are hair like unicellular or multicellular structures found in gametophytes of Bryophytes and Pteridophytes which help in attachment and absorption of water. Gametophytes represent haploid generation so these are also haploid. Gametophytes of rhizoid cells represent haploid generation which is (n) so these are also haploid . Regards !
