please explain right hand palm rule?///

The right hand palm rule shows the direction of force on a positive moving charge in a magnetic field. According to this rule,  thumb of right hand points the direction of current, fingers show the direction of magnetic field and palm points the way of force on the moving charge.

The right hand thumb rule indicates the direction of magnetic field for a know direction of current. If the thumb of the right hand points along the direction of current then the curled fingers of that hand gives the direction of the magnetic field due to the current.

When thumb is upwards the curled fingers are anti-clockwise. So, magnetic field is anti-clockwise.

When thumb is downwards the curled fingers are clockwise. So, magnetic field is clockwise

Right hand palm rule is used to determine the direction of resultant of cross product of two vectors.

Example-

Here are in same plane, but is perpendicular to the plane.

If our fingers point towards , then the curl it towards . So, direction of the thumb is the direction of , perpendicular to the plane.

This law is not applicable for the current carrying wire to find magnetic field around it
