Please explain the formula of percolation rate

Dear Student,

Percolation rate means the water absorption rate of soil.
Percolation rate can be calculated by the formula -
Percolation rate= Amount of water(ml)/ Percolation time(min)

Dear Student,

the formula for the percolation rate

Percolation rate =

The percolation rate is calculated by the event of absorption of water by soil at the given time. The absorption of water varies for various types of soils. The rate of water absorption depends upon its formation. Soil can hold the water for an extended time when the soil percolation rate is high. A soil can keep the water for an extended time when the soil percolation rate is poor.

Percolation rate (ml/min) = amount of water (ml) / percolation time (min). For example, If 200 ml of water is percolated through the soil sample in 40 min. Calculate the rate of percolation.
