This entire paragraph is about how the Soviet Union established its dominance , socially and culturally over the entire Eastern Europe .
When Hitler moved to achieve his long term goal of conquering Eastern Europe , he wanted to ensure all the facilities for Germans. In June, 1941 , he attacked Soviet Union . This attack or invasion was the largest German military operation of World War II and was code-named Operation Barbarossa. He attacked Soviet Union so that he could secure Lebensraum or living space to ensure the survival of Germany for generations to come.
This attack caused German Western front exposed to British Aerial Bombing and Eastern front to the Soviet Armies. The Soviet Red Army defeated German Soldiers and chased them out until they reached the heart of Berlin . After reaching there, Soviet Union established their dominance over the Eastern Europe for almost 50 years.
