Please explain the reason.
Please explain the reason. maximum of how many (i) atoms (ii) carbon atoms must lie in same plane in each of the following mol- ule? bClO (c)CCO

Dear student,

In the above question, the first molecule benzene has all sp2 hybridized carbon atoms hence they all are in same plane.
Also, the hydrogens attached are also in the same plane. Hence 12 atoms are in one plane and 6 carbons in one plane.

In the 2nd compound, maximum atoms that can be in a plane can be 14, and maximum carbon atoms can be 8

3rd compound- Maximum atoms are 14 and maximum carbon atoms are 8

4th compound- Maximum 8 and maxium carbon are 4

5th compound- Maximum 12 and maxium carbon 8

6th compound- Maximum 15 and maximum carbon 9

Hope this helps,

Regards
