Please explain this box

Dear Student,
According to this box, The space that is occupied by a mass is called volume. The formula for density= Mass/Volume. Here, Mass is in grams while volume is measured in cubic centimetres. So, the unit of density is g/cc. To calculate density of 1L water, mass of 1 litre water is 1kg= 1000gram while volume of 1litre water= 1000ml=1000cc. So, Density= 1000gram/1000cc= 1g/cc.

It says that

Space occupied by a substance is its volume.

Means suppose you have a cube and the space which it is occupying is its volume.

The store of matter in a substance is Mass.

Means suppose you cube the the matter it stores is its mass.

Density= mass/volume

Means suppose you have a glass of water is volume is 63l and it's mass is 7, so 63/7=9 so the density is 9.

Mass is measured in grams and volume in cubic cm.

Means the measurement of mass is grams and volume. Which is measured in cubic cm.

Density=gm/cc

Means the formula of finding density is gm/cc

Hence gm/cc is unit of density.

GM/cc is unit of density.
Means gm/cc is used for measuring

Mass of 1 litre water is 1 kg
Density=1l/1kg=1kg per dm 3

1kg/1l= 1kg per dm power 3
