Please explain this paragraph.

Dear student 

Once Ranga saw that Ratna had stopped singing because of him, he apologised for disturbing them and said that he would leave. But he did not make any move to leave because he was too enthralled by Ratna and her singing. To this the narrator felt that since it is the age of Kaliyuga, one cannot expect a person to speak the truth and act as he says. Ratna became shy and ran inside. Ranga was curious about Ratna, but any questions he asked about her were silenced by the narrator. He said that since Ranga didn't want to get married, Ratna was of no importance for him.
