Please explain this point of chemisorption .

Dear Student, Chemisorption is a mechanism that takes place when electron transfer occurs between an adsorbed molecule and contact surfaces. This produces a covalent or electrovalent bond that is far stronger than the physical adsorption. Chemsorption is generally slow and irreversible. Hence chemisorbed molecules are only removed when the element of the surface to which they are attached is removed by wear. Physical adsorption is fast and irreversible. Regards
