Please explain this question

Dear student,

In ionic solids, bigger ions form the close-packed structure and smaller ions occupy either the tetrahedral or the octahedral voids depending upon their size.

In ionic solids, all of the voids occupations are not necessary some may remain void.

The fraction of octahedral and tetrahedral voids are constant they do not depend upon the radii of the ions, the tetrahedral voids are always double the octahedral voids.

Hence, the correct option is (d).
