please explain whether the Pollen Grain is haploid or diploid also provide reason for your answer.
We considered the pollen grain to be diploid in some cases that is to 2n, it is the male gametophyte.
When it comes to the female part of a flower, then the embryo sac for even considering the functional megaspore, then it is considered to be haploid, that is n, why is it so?

Dear Student, Pollen grain is the male gametophyte and haploid in structure. The central Nucleus of pollen grain undergoes mitosis to form a generative cell and tube cell. This generative cell again undergo mitosis to form 2 haploid male gametes that fuse with egg and polar nuclei of female to form a diploid zygote and triploid endosperm respectively. Regards
