Please explain why ....

Dear student 
In some organisms like mollusc and worms, sex of an organism is determined by environment conditions around them like temperature, weather etc.
For example In marine mollusc and marine worm proximity to other organisms determines their sex. If they are in environment where no other organisms is there means they are alone then they will develop into female but if there is any female already present in environment then species will develop into male for copulation.
