Please give five similarities and five differences between hibernation and aestivation.

Differences:
Aestivation is summer sleep where an animal  becomes lazy or dormant in dry hot conditions while hibernation is during extreme cold climate.
In aestivation animal rests in a cool shady place while in hibernation in a warm place
Aestivation is of shorter duration normally during day time as nights are cooler while hibernation is for longer duration like winter season.
Aestivation is by animals like earthworms while hibernation is by warm and cold blooded animals like polar bears.

Similarities:
Both are a state of dormancy
Both are triggered by unfavourable climate onset and regular failure of food availability
Both depend upon reserve food material in the body for physiological processes
