Dear Student,

In today's Covid time, when we are all staying at home and most schools are closed, school celebrations have mostly stopped. With Independence day of our nation, India, coming closer we all need to put in efforts to celebrate it in the best way possible. One interesting idea could be of celebrating independence day in an online class. Students can prepare various poems and posters that they can present in the class. A wholesome session on India's history can be presented and patriotic songs can be sung. Flag hoisting video could be shared by the Principal.

The annual Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort in New Delhi will be limited to the presentation of the Guard of Honour to the Prime Minister by the armed forces and the Delhi Police. There will be unfurling of the national flag, accompanied by playing of the national anthem, and firing of a 21-gun salute. The Prime Minister will address the nation from the Red Fort and release tri coloured balloons at the end.
However, schoolchildren will not be attending the event this year and only the cadets of the National Cadet Corps would attend the celebrations at the Red Fort.
