The hidden room
- The pleasure of discovering something hidden is quite exquisite.
- Recently whilst at my grandparents' old bungalow, I stumbled upon a hidden attic.
- Covered by ceiling paper, it almost looked like it had been blocked on purpose!
- I opened the hatch to the attic, excited by what I might find inside.
- I was surprised to see antique wooden boxes piled up.
- It was a strange feeling being up in the attic - there was a sense of excitement mixed with fear.
- This fear increased as I heard things moving around in the attic.
- I plucked up the courage to go investigate one of the boxes.
- There were tonnes of memorabilia in each box.
- I even found pictures from colonial India!
- My fear turned to fascination as I found more historical objects like old vinyl records and more pictures.
- The things around me were not junk, but actual historical artefacts.
