- I recently had the opportunity to travel to Kumaon.
- Travelling in a hilly region, on a rickety bus is as uncomfortable as it sounds. But the experience was unforgettable. 
- Though the tiredness caused by the bus ride, forces you into sleep, the mere sight of the surrounding scenery chases away sleep.
- Riding in a bus with no window shutters also meant that we had monkeys, constantly trying to enter the bus. 
- One can easily forget the troubles of life while driving along the narrow roads covered with oak and deodar trees on both sides. 
- Every now and then, I caught a glimpse of the majestic snow-capped hills. Their beauty was amplified as the snow glistened in the sunlight. 
- The soothing smell of the trees and flowers put me to sleep.
- I woke up as the bus stopped at a small town. 
- The view of the mountains and the trees from the streets of the town were marvellous.
- Heaven itself might not be able to compete with the beauty of Kumaon.
