please give the mechanism of reaction of methoxide ion to 2-bromopentane in presence of methanol?

When 2-bromopentane is reacted with methoxide ion in presence of methanol, there will be preferably two mechanism. Either E1 or SN1 reaction. E1 is the elimination reacion and SN1 is the  unimolecular nucleophilic substitution reaction.
2-bromopentane is a secondary alkyl halide and the reaction is subjected in polar protic solvent and strong base. Hence, SN1 reaction is retarded due to steric hindrance.Both E1 or SN1 reactions are independent of nucleophile concentration, although, high concentration of base will favour elimination reaction.
