Please giveme exampleof displacement

If you start moving from a room to washroom then to kitchen and then living room.The shortest distance from initial point to final point is displacement.Then distance between the room from the living room is ex. of displacement

lets say that goutham moved fom A to B of a distance 2km and then to C of a distance 5km

over here the distance is going to be 7km
whereas the displacement is going to be the shortest distance from initial position to final position so the displacement is going to be the distance from A to C
