• The producers get the energy from the sun. The energy is lost as heat at different trophic levels. 
• In the ecosystem, there are biotic (living) such as plants, animals, bacteria, etc. as well as abiotic (non-living) components such as air, temperature, water, etc. Both these components are necessary for different organisms present in different trophic levels.
