Q 4. State any 2 of the principal characteristics that differentiates / distinguishes man from other animals.

Dear student,

Fossils are the conserved remains or traces of of living or dead pre-existing organisms.

1. Fossils helps in understanding natural selection and animal behavior in the past.

2. They tell us about the different phases of evolutions through which an organisms must have undergone in order to adapt themselves during unfavorable conditions. 

3. Fossils helps in drawing evolutionary relationship among the present organisms by comparing with the pre-existing one.
