  1. The cell may have already been depleted, and there is an insufficient electric charge to light the bulb.
  2. There could be a loose connection between the wires, bulb, cell, or electrodes in the circuit.
  3. It's possible that the bulb isn't linked to the cell's electrodes.
  4. It's possible that the bulb is damaged or fused.
