2. In my opinion, the ending where the Mommy hit wizard to restore Roger Skunk's original smell is correct. It upholds the concept that each one of us is unique and should be respected and accepted for our uniqueness. Like any ordinary child, Jo takes a romantic view of the situation where she wants the skunk to start smelling of roses. The mother's opinion is proved correct when gradually the other animals become used to the skunk's smell.
