Please provide the answer to this question and also provide some information about importance of magnesium ions in cell body

Dear student,

Dear Student,
And. (2.) Proteins
Magnesium is needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body-
  • It helps to maintain normal nerve and muscle function
  • Magnesium is an essential co-factor for synthesising Purines and pyrimidines.
  • It supports a healthy immune system, keeps the heartbeat steady, and helps bones remain strong.
  • It also helps adjust blood glucose levels.
  • It aids in the production of energy and proteins.
  •  Is a part of the structure of nucleotides
  • Has an important role in DNA synthesis, RNA replication and Translation of proteins.

Hence, if the concentration of Magnesium reduces, it will directly affect the synthesis of proteins.
