The tense of a verb shows the time of an action or event. While changing Active voice to Passive voice, we need to remember the changes in tenses. The most important thing to remember is: ‘be+past participle’ of the verb is used in the Passive voice. Auxiliary verb ‘be’ changes form with change in tense, past participle(third form) of the verb is common in all tenses of the Passive voice. Another thumb rule is that only transitive verbs have a Passive form.
Present Simple Tense (passive Voice)
Auxiliary verb in passive voice: am/is/are

ACTIVE VOICE
RAhul loves Reena.
Does Rahul love Reena?
PASSIVE VOICE
Reena is loved by Rahul.
Is Reena loved by Rahul?

Present Continuous Tense (passive Voice)
Auxiliary verb in passive voice: am being/is being/are being

I am assembling a jigsaw puzzle.
I am not assembling a jigsaw puzzle.
Am I assembling a jigsaw puzzle?
A jigsaw puzzle is being assembled by me.
A jigsaw puzzle is not being assembled by me.
Is a jigsaw puzzle being assembled by me?

Present Perfect Tense (passive Voice)
Auxiliary verb in passive voice: has been/have been

The plumber has fixed the tap.
The plumber has not fixed the tap.
Has the plumber fixed the tap?
The tap has been fixed by the plumber.
The tap has not been fixed by the plumber.
Has the tap been fixed by the plumber?

Follow a similar pattern (different auxiliary verbs are used for different tenses) for the other tenses. There are some tenses that can not be changed into the Passive voice. These are:
  1. Present Perfect Continuous Tense
  2. Past Perfect Continuous Tense
  3. Future Continuous Tense
  4. Future Perfect Continuous Tense
