Dear Student,
IUPAC names of following structures are:
A) 3-Chloropentan-2-one
B)3-Methylpent-2-ene
C) 2,2-Dibromopropanoic acid.
The numbering isdone as below:
Ans ii) (I)
HCl cannot be concentrated beyond 22.2% by boiling because at this concentration it forms constant boiling mixture with water. On further boiling both HCl as well as water is vaporized. Hence, we cannot evaporate only water.
Ans (ii) (II)
Conc. H2SO4 has high affinity for water and hence it is used as a dehydrating agent.
