Dear Student,
Douglas was afraid of water as a young boy. One day he mustered up enough courage and decided to learn swimming to get rid of his fear of water. He went to the YMCA pool for learning swimming. One day, at the pool, he was thrown forcibly into the water by someone. By then, he had not perfected his swimming skills. He nearly drowned in the pool. This near-death experience developed a strong aversion to water in him.
