Dear student

Given, sides of the triangular park 120m, 80m and 50m.

Area planted by gardener is to be calculated by applying the heron's formula as :

Now, it is said that he had to leave 3 m wide space for a gate on one side of the triangle.

Now, perimeter of triangular park = 120m + 80m + 50m – 3m

= 247 m

Given, cost of fencing = Rs 20 per meter

∴ cost of fencing 247 m triangular park = Rs 20 × 247

= Rs 4940
