Please solve question no 4:

4. At a certain instant, an auto driver is driving at a speed of 30 km h-1. Then, he uniformly accelerates the auto
and after 2.5 minutes, the speed of his auto becomes 60 km h-1. What is the average speed of the auto? What is
the value of uniform acceleration during the given interval of time?

Hello Das, initial velocity = 30 * 5/18 m/s
Final velocity = 60 * 5/18 m/s
So change in velocity = 30 * 5/18 m/s
Time taken = 2.5 min = 2.5 * 60 s = 25 * 6 s = 150 s
Hence acceleration (uniform) = change in velocity /time taken
==> 30 * 5/18 * 1/150 = 1/18 m/s^2
As acceleration is uniform average velocity = u + v / 2 = 90/2 = 45 km p h

Please helpnme to understand if the acceleration is in averge then why we have divides it by 2

Average speed = (60-30)? 2.5 min
=30000m?150 sec
=200m/s
  • -3
an Answer is 45 kilometre by dividing 30 + 65 is equal to 3 by 2 is equal to 45
  • -1
average speed =total distance /total time
=60+30/2.5
=90×1000/60×60×2.5
=10m/s
uniform acceleration =v2-v1/t
=60-30/2.5
=30×1000/60×60×2.5
=3.33m/s^2
