Please solve sir I posted these both questions again???

Dear student,
The answers to your questions are as follows:

(i) The father feels helpless despite the fact that the son is built to his design as their likes and dislikes are different. And he is unable to relate to each other even though the son is built according to his design. They are like strangers in the same house. The father and the son have a strained relationship which bothers the father. He wants to have a good relationship with his son but the son does not care about the same.

(ii) The grandmother was a religious person. this has been depicted well as the author emphasises the sing-song manner in which sang religious hymns and always told the beads of the rosary. She used to accompany the author to the temple to read scriptures. In the end, the grandmother stopped talking to everyone in order to give all her time and attention to God.

Regards.
