Q.28. State what will be the effect of each of the following solutions on blue litmus -
i] $K_{2}C{O}_3$ soln. ii] KCl soln. iii] $N{H}_{4}N{O}_3$ soln.

1) Potassium Carbonate solution is a base. So it will not have any effect on blue litmus. It will change red litmus to blue.
2) Potassium Chloride solution is neutral. Hence it will change the colour of blue litmus to purple.
3) Ammonium nitrate solution is acidic. Hence it will change the colour of blue litmus to red.
