The verb follows the subject and identifies an action.
An object is the part of sentence which receives the action and usually follows the verb.

  • Dog caught the ball.( Subject -  Dog , Verb - caught , Object - the ball)

  • Girl spilled the milk.( Subject - Girl , Verb - spilled , Object - the milk)

  • They went to school.( Subject - They , Verb - went , Object - to school)
