Let, F1 be the force applied to the smaller piston of cross-sectional area A1.

F1 = 50 kgf

A1 = πd2/4 = (3.14)(0.052)/4 = 0.0019625 m2

Let, F2 be the force exerted on the large piston of cross-sectional area A2.

A2 = πd2/4 = (3.14)(0.252)/4 = 0.0490625 m2

Now,

F1/A1 = F2/A2

=> F2 = (F1/A1)A2 = 1250 kgf
