please tell me the difference between proteolytic enzyme and proenzyme ??
- Proteolytic enzyme refers to the enzyme,that catalyzes the splitting of proteins into smaller peptide fractions and amino acids by a process known as proteolysis. These enzymes involved in the digestion of proteins and supplemented in cases of pancreatic insufficiency.
- Proenzyme is the inactive precursor of an enzyme, converted into an active enzyme by proteolysis. It is also called zymogen.
