Plot the points A( 2,2) ,B( 5, 2) , C( 5,5) and D(2,5) on graph. Connect the points in that order so as to get a closed figure ABCD. Find the area of figure so obtained . ( PLS DEAR EXPERTS ANS URGENTLY )

Dear Student,

Please find below the solution to the asked query:

We lot given points on x  -  y  plane , As :

From graph we can see that closed figure ABCD is a square with side length  =  3 unit .

We know area of square =  ( Side )2 , So

Area of ABCD  = ( 3 )2 = 9  square unit                                                    ( Ans )

The steps to solve this question are :- STEP 1 : Plot the given coordinates , all these will lie in the first quadrant as the abscissa and ordinate both have a positive sign . STEP 2 : Now join these coordinates by drawing a line between them , in this question the figure so obtained is a SQUARE . STEP 3 : Now find the area of this figure by counting the number of coordinates on each side , as its a square so we will find the area by using the formula ( SIDE )² . The area of this square is (3)²=9.
