Pls ans the a part of this. It is from the poem : An elementary school classroom in a slum

Dear student The squalid existence of the slum children were at odds with the things that they were taught in the school. Shakespeare would have been of no help and the maps would prove to be a bad example if they did not have resources to explore their interests further. Their lives were cramped into the sordid quarters in which they holed up with their families. Their future seemed grim and bleak, they were being reared on a slag heap with no possible redemption from such conditions within sight. Their very existence was a struggle, their childhood was mapped out in the slums. The poet bewails the poor conditions in which the slum children were growing up but he also offers hope in terms of education. With education, they would learn how to dream for the better and possibly work upon a means to escape this squalor. Regards
