1. Air is not considered as a pure substance because it is a mixture of several gases like oxygen; carbon dioxide; nitrogen and others and a pure substance is that which is composed of only similar kind of atoms.
2. Both camphor and ammonium chloride are volatile substances which sublime at room temperature and hence cannot be separated by the sublimation process.
3. Water molecules can be broken down into hydrogen and oxygen molecules by a chemical reaction called electrolysis. When an electric current is passed through liquid water (H2O), it changes the water into two gases, hydrogen and oxygen. The molecules of water break apart into individual atoms.
