Pls. answer my two questions by step by step explanation.

1) The incomes of A and B are in the ratio 3 :2 and their expenditures in the ratio 5 :3. If each saves Rs. 1000 each, A's income iis?

2)The montjly salary of A, B, C is in the propotion 2:3:5. If C's monthlty salary is Rs.1200 more than that of A, then B's annual salary is?

Q2: The monthly salary of A, B, C is in the proportion 2:3:5. If C's monthly salary is Rs.1200 more than that of A, then B 's annual salary is?

SOL: As ratio of monthly salaries of A, B and C is given as 2:3:5

∴A's monthly salary = 2x

B's monthly salary = 3x

C's monthly salary = 5x

where x is any constant.

According to the question,

5x - 2x = 1200

⇒3x = 1200

Therefore, B's monthly salary = 3x = Rs 1200

Thus, B's annual salary = 12 × 1200

 = Rs 14400

Q1: The incomes of A and B are in the ratio 3 :2 and their expenditures in the ratio 5 :3. If each saves Rs. 1000 each, A 's income is?

SOL: Given that

A's income : B's income = 3 : 2

Let A's income = 3x

and B's income = 2x

A's expenditure : B's expenditure = 5 : 3

Let A's expenditure = 5y

and B's expenditure = 3y

Savings of A = Savings of B = Rs 1000

⇒3x - 5y = 2x - 3y = 1000

⇒x = 2y

3x - 5y = 1000

⇒3(2y)-5y = 1000

⇒y = 1000

∴x = 2y = 2(1000) = 2000

A's income = 3x = 3(2000) = Rs 6000
