Pls answer Q.1

Dear student,
Retroviruses can be used in biotechnological application as vector for correcting genes which causes diseases and can be used for gene therapy etc. Retroviruses do not cause disease because envelope protein forming gene has been inactivated due to which they can not encapsulate the genome.
