People look for mixed goals as a means of development because real development does not occur if only the earnings or income of a person increases. Real development occurs when people get to lead a good quality life by getting all facilities such as proper health care, better education,clean and hygienic environment,electricity and water supply etc. If all these can be achieved along with income then we can say that development has taken place.So all perspectives must be taken into consideration for development not only the income factor.
For example if women are engaged in paid work their dignity in the household and society increases. As women have started working outside a safe and secure environment would be required so that more and more women take up variety of jobs or run a business. Hence, development goals is not only about better income but also about other important things such as safety, security, respect etc in life.
