The narrator thought that the darkness was due to the dark clouds
that had overcast the sky Then, he realised that a huge wave, like
no other, was moving towards the boat and had risen up like a wall
of green and dark waters Before he could react, it fell over the
boat with such force that the narrator struck his head badly at the
wheel The growl of the wave was like a thunderous roar: an ominous
sound of danger The wave would definitely take the boat under the
waves and the narrator thought the only thing left to do was wait
for sure death
