The electoral politics and competition has several demerits as it creates a sense of factionalism and disunity in every locality. Various political party leaders accuse each other with varied allegations. They employ different techniques to win elections such as manipulating people, buying votes illegally etc. Often, hatred and differences develop amongst people because of the party they are supporting, many such instances create fractionalism and disunity in society.
