pls explain the following terms wrt to the arrangement of microspores :
linear
tetrahedral
isobilateral
decussate
with picture thank you
Dear student.
The tetrads are divided on the basis of arrangement of pollen grains in tetrad.
Tetrahydral tetrads: In this type, the four pollen grains form the points of tetrahedron i.e they are arranged in tetrahedron form.
Isobilateral tetrads: Also called tetragonal tetrad. Here four pollen grains are in one plane and are equally spaced apart.
Linear tetrads : Here four pollen grains are arranged in straight line.
T-Shaped tetrads: Here pollen grains are in two pairs and arranged in T shaped structure.
Decussate tetrads: Here pollen grains are in two pairs and arranged at right angles to one another.
Regards.
