pls explain the importance ofatmospheric pressureas I have a test tomorrow

Atmospheric pressure primarily hold us in shape. If this pressure disappeared suddenly we would start expanding due to the air inside our body and burst.

Also the blood in our arteries would surge to the surface of our skin as the blood pressure 120/80 mm of Hg is so regulated that it is lower then the atmospheric pressure 760 mm Hg.

We would die of suffocation as with zero pressure outside ,our lungs would contract just once, all the air would get evacuated and then there would be no air to inhale.
