1. A disaster is a sudden accident or catastrophe that can due to both natural or manmade factors. For example, an earthquake is a natural disaster and a plane crash is a manmade disaster.
2. There are six phases in a disaster management cycle. They are Prevention, Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, Recovery and Reconstruction.
