Dear Student, Bacillus thuringiensis is used as a biocontrol agent. It is a spore forming bacteria that lives in soil. If it is ingested by larva, then the lining of their gut is destroyed and they may die within a span of few days. In this way it is used as biocontrol agent. Example B.t.
